Wonderfully Made: Loved by God

Thursday January 5 (6:30 p.m.) to Saturday January 7 (2:00 p.m.), 2023

Room 261/261 (Strother), Bd. C | REGISTER HERE

You and your son or daughter are invited to participate in a special event called Wonderfully Made. Young people this age are growing physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially at a rapid pace, or are agonizing over why they aren’t growing as rapidly as they feel they should be. Open to children in the 5th and 6th grade, Wonderfully Made is a study of human sexuality with a Christian foundation. It will offer both you and your child an opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate the fact that we have each been wonderfully made by God, and are called to responsible living as sexual beings.

This study involves a major time commitment on the part of the parents, students and leaders, but the benefit will be well worth the investment. Using a highly interactive approach to learning, Wonderfully Made is a lot of fun for everyone involved.

But as much fun as this experience promises to be; don’t expect your son or daughter to be doing back flips when you approach them about participating. Expect their resistance, but don’t give in to it. Explain it as something needed by both parents and their growing children to improve both understanding and communication.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Parents – Thursday, January 5: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

  • Students – Friday, January 6: 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. (dinner served to students), Saturday, January 7: 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

  • Students and Parents – Saturday, January 7: 12:15 – 2:00 p.m. (lunch served for all)

Childcare will be provided on Thursday and/or Saturday if needed, reservations required, no cost for childcare.

The fee for this event is $100, covering the cost of materials, meals, snacks, instructor and supplies. Scholarships available.

We hope to see your family represented as we experience anew what it means to be Wonderfully Made.
