Journey Through Acts
Join Rev. Blair Tolbert in August for a three-week study about the book of Acts. We will "Journey with the Apostles" as we reflect on Pentecost, the beginning of the church, and the traveling ministry of the apostles. To prepare for the class, consider this reading schedule:
By August 16: Acts 1-5 (Pentecost and Organizing of the Church)
By August 23: Acts 6-13 (Persecution and Saul)
By August 30: Acts 14-28 (Traveling Ministry and Problems of Expansion)
The Lord’s Prayer
Join Christy Haase in a six week course as she explores Adam Hamilton’s The Lord’s Prayer: The Meaning and Power of the Prayer Jesus Taught. Hamilton guides us to really know―and really pray―the Lord’s Prayer. He explores each of its rich lines and their meaning in the Bible, illuminating what we ask of God and what we ask of ourselves through its words. And he teaches us how to use it as a pattern for our own prayer life.
The Early Church
Join retired elder, Rev. Fred Finzer, for a look at the early years of the church. This three-week session will cover the growth of the Christian Faith and Christian thought beginning there the Bible stops up to the time of Constantine or the beginning of the second century to the middle of the fourth century.
