Christmas Poinsettias ordering begins on November 17 through December 9. For your generous donation of $20, on Sunday, December 15, a beautiful poinsettia will be placed in the church in loving memory of a lost family member/ friend or in honor of someone who you would like to recognize in a special way. For many years, the Open Door Sunday School Class has supported Murphy-Harpst by placing Poinsettias in the church sanctuary as part of our Advent reflection as we look forward to the coming celebration of our Savior’s birth at Christmas.
For many years, beautiful red poinsettias have graced our sanctuary and gathering places during Advent and Christmas in our church. These are generously given to honor and in memory of loved ones by our members. This project, sponsored by the Open Door Sunday School class, benefits Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center in Cedartown, GA.
Place your orders online or by check using an order form found at the Gathering Area. Orders close on December 9. If purchasing multiple poinsettias, please list all the names in honor or in memory.

About Murphy Harpst Children’s Center
An agency of the United Methodist Church, Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center is an independent not-for-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of severely abused and neglected young people through residential treatment, placements in specialized foster care, and community programs that serve at-risk young people and their families. Services are available to all children regardless of sex, race, color, or creed, and whose needs can be addressed and treated within the scope of program services.
Approximately 1/3 of Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center financial support comes from United Methodist Churches. Through our gifts we support the work of Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center to transform the lives of Georgia’s most vulnerable children all year long.
