Do I have to be a member to participate in classes and activities?
No! Everyone is welcome to attend any services, classes or activities here.

Can I obtain tapes of the sermons?
Yes. You may order audio tapes or CD's ($4) our sermons. There are envelopes in the pews for this purpose, or, you may contact Jimmy Kirkley at ext. 7832 (click on name to e-mail). Information needed with your check is: Name, address, phone, date, date & time of service. All tapes will be mailed to you when order is complete. Estimated time is 2 weeks.

Where do I park?
From Whitlock (Northwest side of church) take first entrance for handicapped parking and second entrance for other parking. The main parking lot also has entrances from Polk Street on the North and North Marietta Parkway on the East. We also save close up parking in the main parking, for visitors and those with small children. (see map)

Where is the nursery?
The Nursery is located below the sanctuary in building B on the first level. At the registration desk you will need to fill out a registration card and security bracelet for each child along with labels for any bottles, cups or diaper bags.

The Nursery is available:
Wednesday: 6:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Thursday: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon
Sunday: 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

What do United Methodists believe and how is the denomination unique?
The church is a community of all true believers under the Lordship of Christ. It is the redeemed and redeeming fellowship in which the Word of God is preached by persons divinely called, and the sacraments are duly administered according to Christ's own appointment. Under the discipline of the Holy Spirit the church seeks to provide for the maintenance of worship, the edification of believers, and the redemption of the world.

How do I become a member of Marietta First?
Tammy Cochran, Evangelism Coordinator, ext. 7807, will be happy to speak to you regarding your desire to join the church by:

Confession of Faith - The initial entrance into membership in the church, when one confesses faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

Reaffirmation of Faith - One's renewing of the initial confession of faith after a period of inactivity or not being on a church membership roll

Transfer of Membership - Either from another United Methodist Church of a Christian church of another denomination. We recognize Baptism from all other Christian churches.

Renewal of Membership - Returning as a former member of this church
