50's and Better

 
John Strother-Room 261 (DC)
 
This large class is comprised of couples and singles ages 50 and up. The class studies a Bible-based curriculum with a variety of teachers. They support the Christmas Santa Project, MUST, The Women's Extension, the mentoring project for Marietta City Schools, and the UMM Golf Tournament. They also raise support for an orphanage in Guatemala and support missionaries in Kenya, Singapore, and Tanzania. This class enjoys several socials throughout the year. Faith Builders -Room 322 (FLC)
 
Faithbuilders is a diverse group of working adults and retirees, both singles and married.  The class uses a discussion format with several class members acting as facilitators.  There is a strong focus on studying the Bible and relating it to how we live out our lives as Christian disciples.  The class has a strong emphasis on missions and enjoys social events throughout the year.  Contact: Tom Harper, tdharper51@gmail.com or Will Gibbs at will.gibbs@charter.net
 
Jack Aaron -Room 256 (DC)
 
This large class is comprised of singles and couples, age 65 and up. They follow the International Bible Studies, led by different class members each month. The class is active in service projects for MUST, several children’s homes, and other local and global ministries. J.O.Y. -Room 259 (DC)
 
The class utilizes the Adult Bible Studies Series and other selected materials for their discussion-based studies. They are a small-sized class of singles and couples, age 60 and up. The class enjoys many social events. Outreach projects include missionary support in Peru, KSU Wesley Foundation, Iraq soldier ministry, MUST ministries, Mountain Top Remote Area Medical and others. Contact: Betty Jo Eldridge, 770-427-7823, bettyjoeldridge@gmail.com, or Frances Wood, franceswood@mindspring.com.
 
Open Door -Room 252 (DC)
 
This large class is comprised of couples and singles ranging from mid-adult to retirees who enjoy periodic small group and class socials and a special annual retreat. The class actively supports local, global, and regional missions. They have provided poinsettias in our church for many years with the proceeds going to mission endeavors. Young at Heart-Room 330 (FLC)
 
Young at Heart is made up of singles and couples age 60 and up. We use the Adult Bible Studies Series and enjoy singing hymns and keeping in touch. The class supports Four Corners Native American Ministry, Kennestone's First Step Program, Salvation Army, Mountain Top Boys Home, The Boys Club of Cobb County, and MUST Ministries.
