Senior Adult News

Senior Adults will be taking a day trip to tour the beautiful Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. We will depart from the Polk Street parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and return approx. 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. We will have lunch on our own in the Arbor Cafe. We will be riding in the trams to and from the different garden areas. There is moderate walking but lots of benches all around for our rest times. The trams run between the gardens and the Welcome Center about every 30 minutes. The cost will be $30.00 and reservations are due by Friday June 14.

Senior Adults will be going to Indian Springs Camp Meeting in Flovilla, Ga. on Monday, July 15, 2013. We will attend the 11:00 a.m. service in the air conditioned Tabernacle with the Rev.Steve Dodson preaching. After the service we will have lunch in the cafeteria and then have time to browse around the book/gift store. We will depart the Polk St. parking lot at 8:30 a.m. and arrive back to the church approx. 4:00 p.m. Your payment of $15.00 is your reservation

due by Wed. July 10th.

Our annual trip to the Georgia Mountain Fair in Hiawassee is Friday July 26, 2013. We will depart the Polk St. parking lot at 9:00 a.m. and drive to Jasper where we will stop for a coffee/restroom break at McDonalds. When we arrive in Hiawassee we will stroll the mall for some fun shopping, have lunch on our own and then head up the hill to enjoy the 2:00 p.m. afternoon show featuring John Anderson. After the show we will board our bus/van and start home and on our way we will stop at Merciers where we love to shop for appples, fried pies, ice cream and lots of other good stuff.We should arrive back home around 5:30 p.m. Your payment of $20.00 is your reservation due by Tues. July 22. We should arrive back to the church at approx. 5:30 p.m.
